Renaissance Healthcare Group, LLC was formed in 2001 to provide specialty behavioral healthcare services in niche markets. Pasadena Villa, a licensed 14-bed premier residential treatment facility for adults, was opened in August 2002. Transitional Living and Learning Center opened in July 2005.

Pasadena Villa is licensed as a Residential Treatment Facility by the Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA) in the State of Florida and is a proud member of the following organizations: National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Programs (NATSAP), American Residential Treatment Association (ARTA), National Association of Addition Treatment Providers (NAATP) and the Mental Health Association of Central Florida.

Both Pasadena Villa and TLLC are considered Centers of Excellence and have been selected by many area colleges and universities as practicum and intern sites.

Executive Team:
George Kachmarik

George S. Kachmarik, VI, LMHC (Co-founder and Clinical Director) has over thirty years of experience in the behavioral health field. Mr. Kachmarik received his B.A. in Psychology and Anthropology from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and his M.S. in Clinical Psychology from Memphis State University (now University of Memphis). Mr. Kachmarik is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor, a National Certified Counselor, and a Psychological Examiner II. His vast experience includes private practice, clinical directorships, education, and administration. He is a former instructor at the U.S.Naval Academy and retired as a Captain in the U.S. Navy in 2006.

Mr. Kachmarik is Board Certified in Professional Counseling by the American Board of Professional Counselors.

David Nissen

David C. Nissen, MBA, FACHE (Co-founder and Managing Director) has received his B.S. in educational psychology from the University of Georgia and his masters in business administration from Averett University. Mr. Nissen is an Accredited Access Manager, former Certified Substance Abuse Counselor, and current member of the American Association of Healthcare Consultants and the Association of Fundraising Professionals. His experience includes intake, admissions, marketing, business development, strategic planning and administration of behavioral healthcare, and alternative educational systems.

Mr. Nissen is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives, and is Board Certified in healthcare management.

Administration:

Heather Williams, LMHC - Admissions Coordinator
Heather received her Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Florida. She attended the University of Georgia where she graduated with a Master's of Education in Guidance and Counseling. Heather has worked extensively in inpatient hospitals doing admission assessments and crisis counseling. She has also worked with a wide variety of populations in inpatient, outpatient, and residential settings. Heather is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia and is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida.


Pasadena Villa:

Jennifer Stokes, CTRS - Administrative Program Manager
Jennifer Stokes has over 13 years of experience in the behavioral healthcare industry, and has worked in various levels of care ranging from acute to outpatient. She earned her BA degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies from the University of Georgia and also holds  national Certification as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS). Jennifer serves in a dual capacity at TLLC, both as the Program Manager as well as the CTRS. As a recreational therapist, Jennifer supports TLLC’s programmatic core by focusing primarily on helping students develop applicable life skills by implementing various skill-building and team building techniques, as well as fostering coping skill development within the domains of fitness, health and overall well-being.

Marianne Wilson, M.A., LMHC - Clinical Program Manager
Marianne graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Kean University in New Jersey and a Master of Arts in Community Counseling from Rollins College, Florida. Marianne is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida and is certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors. Marianne has clinical experience in a variety of settings, including crisis stabilization, day treatment, foster care, group homes and outpatient services.

Marianne joined our team in 2004 as a Therapist, and was promoted to Program Manager in 2007. She is a Qualified Supervisor for Registered Mental Health Counseling Interns, and supervises interns from local colleges and universities at Pasadena Villa.

Giselle Bolt, RN
Giselle received her B.A. in psychology from the University of Central Florida and her Associates Degree in Nursing from Seminole Community College. She is currently working on her Masters Degree in Nursing with certification as an Adult Nurse Practitioner. Giselle has experience in a variety of areas including neurology, cardiology, multisystem failure and psychiatric nursing.

Nereyda Voorhees, RN
Nereyda has been a registered nurse in the Orlando area since 1987, and has been with Pasadena Villa since 2006.  She graduated with an Associates of Science degree in nursing from Southern College in Tennessee. Nereyda’s psychiatric nursing experience includes crisis stabilization, acute care for children, adolescents and adults, and residential treatment.

Curtis White, CTRS - Adjunctive Therapy Coordinator
Curtis is a graduate from the University of Florida with a degree in Psychology and Recreational Therapy with post graduate work in Physical Therapy from Lynn University at Boca Raton.

Curtis is a Certified Recreational Therapist with certification in Aquatic therapy and team building with over fifteen years of experience.

Curtis has extensive experience in program planning for emotional disorders and geriatric care, dealing with Alzheimer’s and several other populations in the health care industry. Curtis is a former college football player at the University of Florida and had a professional football career in both the NFL and CFL.

Rachel Dillickraeth, M.A. - Therapist and Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern
Rachel received her Bachelors of Science degree in psychology and Masters in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Central Florida.  She is currently pursuing a certificate in marriage and family counseling.  She has worked in both case management and therapist roles since joining Pasadena Villa in 2003.  Her goal is to obtain licensure and continue to support individuals in the mental health field. 

Leighann Kurpetski - Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern
Leighann received her Bachelors of Arts degree in Anthropology and a Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. She is a Nationally Certified Counselor and is currently pursuing licensure in Mental Health Counseling with the State of Florida. Leighann worked with high risk adolescents for two years and has worked as a therapist in residential settings since 2005. Leighann joined the clinical team at Pasadena Villa in 2007.

Aubrey Scantlan - Psychiatric Counselor
Aubrey received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in communications from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. She attended the University of Central Florida where she graduated with her Master’s in Counselor Education: Mental Health Counseling. Aubrey is a current member of the American Counseling Association, Chi Sigma Iota (Counseling Academic and Professional Honor Society International), and Kappa Delta Pi (International Honor Society in Education). Aubrey joined our team in 2003, and is currently working towards licensure as a Mental Health Counselor.

Kristen Sockriter, MA - Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern
Kristen received her Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology and Master of Arts in Counselor Education with a focus on Mental Health Counseling from the University of Central Florida. Kristen is an active member of the American Counseling Association, the European Branch of the American Counseling Association, and the Florida Counseling Association.  She has presented at both the national and international level on various topics including Schema Therapy as well as a variety of expressive arts techniques.  Kristen is currently working towards licensure as a Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida.

Jesse Sparks, MA, NCC – Addictions Counselor
Jesse holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in Counseling from Rollins College (FL). He has experience working in a wide array of therapeutic settings with a specialization in addictions and dual diagnosis. He is a National Certified Counselor, a member of the American Counseling Association, the Association for Specialists in Group Work, and is completing his licensure as a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern. He joined the Renaissance Healthcare team in 2006.


Physicians

Morteza Nadjafi, M.D. (view practice) - Board Certified Psychiatrist
Dr. Nadjafi has been in the practice of psychiatry since 1973. He specializes in adult and adolescent psychiatry covering a broad spectrum of experiences from medical treatment of depression, panic disorders, anxiety, ADHD, substance abuse, and eating disorders. Dr. Nadjafi also specializes in the treatment and medication management of schizophrenia and related disorders.

Dr. Nadjafi continually seeks to set a higher standard for psychiatric medicine and uniquely combines his education, training, and practical experiences into specialized treatment programs.

Dr. Nadjafi completed his residency in psychiatry at the University of Miami School of Medicine in 1977. Later he was appointed Clinical Assistant Professor at the University from 1977 to 1983. He received psychoanalytic training at the Institute for Psychoanalysis in Baltimore, Maryland, and is currently the Chairman of the Psychiatric Department at Orlando Regional Medical Center.  

Heidi Napolitano, M.D.(view practice) – Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatry
Dr. Napolitano provides adult, adolescent, and child psychiatry. Dr. Napolitano has a significant amount of experience and training in treating children and adolescents. Specializing in psychiatric evaluation and medication management of psychiatric disorders for children, adolescents and adults, play therapy, learning disorders, attention deficit, and hyperactivity; also specializes in geriatrics and long term care.
